Assistant Professor Ivan Perkov, a faculty member at the Department of Sociology of the Faculty of Croatian Studies, has been appointed a member of the newly established international Editorial Review Board of European Societies, the most influential European sociology journal and the official journal of the European Sociological Association.

European Societies publishes contemporary sociological research focused on European societies and on the key social, economic, and political challenges of contemporary Europe. The journal is known for its high academic reputation, international visibility, and rigorous double-anonymous peer-review process.

Since 2025, the journal has been published by MIT Press, one of the world’s most respected academic publishers, and is indexed in the most important international databases, including Web of Science, Scopus, Sociological Abstracts, and the International Bibliography of the Social Sciences.
