PristupačnostThe Programme for the Acquisition of Pedagogical Competences for Vocational Teachers and Teaching Associates is intended for individuals who deliver or participate in the delivery of practical instruction and exercises in vocational education institutions and who are required to acquire the appropriate pedagogical competences.
The Programme covers content in pedagogy, psychology, didactics and teaching methodology, enabling participants to acquire the knowledge and skills required for the effective planning, organisation and delivery of practical instruction and exercises.
Particular emphasis is placed on linking theoretical knowledge with direct teaching practice, applying contemporary teaching strategies, adapting instruction to learners’ needs, creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment, and effectively monitoring and assessing student achievement.
Upon completion of the Programme, participants acquire a partial qualification at Level 5 of the Croatian Qualifications Framework and 60 ECTS credits.

Upon completion of the Programme, participants will be able to:
- ✔ plan and organise their own professional development and lifelong learning
- ✔ analyse and evaluate their own work, educational processes and learning
- ✔ independently deliver practical instruction and exercises and/or participate in their delivery
- ✔ apply methodological knowledge in fields related to the vocational disciplines of the subjects they teach or will teach at school
- ✔ independently select strategies best suited to the subject, topic and learners’ needs
- ✔ plan curricular and extracurricular activities
- ✔ plan the development of various student skills in cooperation with teachers of other subjects
- ✔ participate in the preparation of annual school work plans
- ✔ recognise the developmental characteristics of learners in childhood, adolescence and adulthood
- ✔ organise learning conditions according to learners’ developmental characteristics, abilities and interests
- ✔ foster the holistic development of learners
- ✔ be familiar with the regulations governing the procedures and components of the assessment of student educational achievement and apply them consistently in teaching practice
- ✔ apply a range of assessment methods, techniques and formats and develop assessment and monitoring instruments
- ✔ provide learners with clear and constructive feedback
- ✔ cooperate with colleagues and exchange examples of good practice
- ✔ lead a team or participate in teamwork
- ✔ cooperate with institutions outside the school
