Freemover Students

Freemover students are guest students studying individually for a period of 1 to 10 months at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb, as part of their degree at their home university, outside any formal exchange agreement or project.

Freemover students must arrange the conditions of their study period directly with the Faculty of Croatian Studies, including prerequisites for courses or study programmes, tuition fees and other relevant requirements.

Please note that freemover students cannot change their freemover status into regular full-degree student status.

How to Apply

Please complete the application form and send it together with the other required documents to jzekic@fhs.unizg.hr.

The form should be filled in on a computer, printed, signed by the student and sent by e-mail to jzekic@fhs.unizg.hr.
Required Documents

Other required documents:

  1. Learning Agreement (signed and stamped)
  2. Curriculum Vitae
  3. Grade Transcript and Certificate of Enrolment
  4. Copy (scan) of the passport or ID card (both sides for EU citizens)
  5. Certificate of English language proficiency required – minimum B2 (students attending English-taught programmes may submit proof from their home institution that they are enrolled in an English-taught programme)
Important Notes
  • Please make sure that all forms are filled in clearly and correctly.
  • Freemover students are not entitled to subsidised meal prices in student restaurants (menzas).
  • According to the Decision on student participation fees, foreign students at all levels of study must pay fees according to their status.
  • Foreign students enrolling in courses must pay 15,93 € per ECTS credit.
  • Some courses may be conducted in the form of individual consultations because most courses are taught in Croatian.
  • Courses in English and German offered in 2025/26

15 June for the winter semester or full academic year
10 December for the summer semester
