Graduate Admissions for Applicants with Previous Studies Completed Abroad
Information for applicants who have completed previous higher education studies outside the Republic of Croatia and wish to apply for graduate study programmes at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb.
Required Documentation
To apply, the Faculty of Croatian Studies usually requires the submission of the following documents (the procedure may be updated or changed):
- Curriculum and study programme of your completed degree
- A link to the information package of your previous higher education institution
- Transcript of records and diploma or certificate confirming completion of your previous studies
- Proof of payment of the EUR 50.00 fee for programme comparison
- Proof that you have submitted a request for recognition of your study period to the Office for Academic Recognition of Foreign Higher Education Qualifications at the University of Zagreb , or the official decision on the recognition of your foreign qualification issued by that office
Deadlines and Evaluation Procedure
These documents should generally be submitted to the Faculty of Croatian Studies by post or in person no later than 1 September.
The departmental committees will compare the submitted programmes and determine by mid-September whether your previous studies are equivalent, allowing you to compete on equal terms with other applicants.
Language Requirement
Additionally, applicants must provide proof of knowledge of the Latin script and Croatian language at the B2 level.
Application Period
Applications for the admission procedure for single-major and double-major university graduate programmes are usually accepted starting in the second half of September.
