Assistant Professor Matija Mato Škerbić, PhD, from the Department of Philosophy and Cultural Studies at our Faculty, visited KU Leuven in Belgium from 17 to 21 November, one of the world’s leading universities, where he delivered a series of lectures to students of the international Master’s programme MAiSI – Master of Arts in Sports Ethics and Integrity.
MAiSI is a globally recognised programme operating within the World Centre for Sports Ethics and Integrity, led by distinguished scholars Professor Mike McNamee, PhD, and Professor Silvia Camporesi, PhD, who are internationally acknowledged as leading authorities in the field of sports (bio)ethics.
The invitation for the visiting lectureship was extended by Professor Camporesi, and the lectures focused on the topic of the forthcoming Enhanced Games as well as broader issues in the field of sports bioethics. During his visit, Assistant Professor Škerbić presented key ethical challenges facing contemporary sport and actively participated in discussions with an international group of students and experts. He also took the opportunity to represent our Faculty within this prominent international academic setting.
