The HRT television programme Globalna Hrvatska, dedicated to Croats in the homeland and around the world, featured a segment on the International Scientific-Professional Conference Croatian Language and Culture Abroad: Exploring the Past, Present, and Future, held on 3 and 4 November 2025 at the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb.

The guests in the programme were the Chair of the Organising Committee, Assoc. Prof. Rona Bušljeta Kardum, PhD, and Full Professor Lidija Cvikić, PhD from the Faculty of Teacher Education, University of Zagreb, who was also one of the conference’s keynote speakers.

Professors Bušljeta Kardum and Cvikić particularly emphasised the importance of the Croatian language and culture in preserving the national identity of children and young people of Croatian descent living abroad, as well as the crucial role of Croatian Language Instruction Abroad (Hrvatska nastava u inozemstvu) in strengthening their ties with the homeland.
