Course objective is to capacitate students to comprehend system of measures and actions which affect demographic processes especially natural and mechanical population movement for the purpose of reaching certain specific population movement aligned with economic, social, health, political and other aims. One of the objective is also to explore possible effect of economic and social policy on labour force and overall population development. Theme and field elaboration: Concept, principles and objectives of population policy, Types of population policy. Population policy features. Correlation of population policy and labour market. National population policy in Croatia- theory and experience, Projection of world population movement and population policy development.

3. Compare measures of population policy in Europe and worldwide
4. Explain and analyse effects of family policy measures on fertility
5. Select efficient type of population policy for demographic threatened countries
