The counselling centre of the Faculty of Croatian Studies is a centre for improving the quality of life, career development and providing support. It provides free and confidential services. It was founded on 8 July 2014.
The student has the right to psychological, spiritual and other forms of counselling support related to academic and personal difficulties, career counselling and information, development of academic and life arts and skills, such as communication and social skills, coping with sources of stress, choosing a learning strategy and organising time as well as appropriate adjustments.
Counselling is a voluntary and confidential relationship between the user and the counsellor.
Counselling is one of the special activities of the Faculty of Croatian Studies, which includes providing support to students and employees in dealing with personal difficulties, issues of personal development and professional doubts, and may include individual and group work, lectures, the creation of textual and visual materials, and connecting with more appropriate sources of support in case of need.
Students of the Faculty of Croatian Studies can request and receive psychological counselling in order to master education programmes better and achieve successful psychosocial adaptation. They can get it
• directly at the student doctor
• at the Institute for Public Health “Dr. Andrija Stampar”
• in the Centre for counselling and support for students of the University of Zagreb.
