She was born in Dubrovnik, where she finished high school in 1999. At the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Zagreb she graduated in Croatian studies and comparative literature in 2004 (the best student of her class in the Department of Croatian Studies and the fourth-best student in the Department of Comparative Literature) and in 2011 defended her doctoral dissertation "The Role of the Linguistic-Stylistic Approach in the Study of the Language of Literary Texts: Linguistic-Stylistic Research in the Croatian Language in the Second Half of the 20th Century" under the mentorship of academician Marko Samardžija. She is employed at the Miroslav Krleža Institute of Lexicography.
She was appointed to the scientific rank of research associate in the field of humanities in 2015 and to the rank of senior research associate in 2022. At the Faculty of Croatian Studies, University of Zagreb, she was appointed to the academic-scientific title of assistant professor in 2016 and to the academic-scientific title of associate professor in 2023. She collaborated on the doctoral program Media and Communication at the University of North (2020, 2021, 2024).
She has published a scientific monograph, two edited books, two synthetic chapters in the books, as well as several dozen scientific and professional papers in philology and communication studies.
Her main areas of interest are stylistics (especially linguistic and functional), digital culture, media discourse, lexicography, and literary idiolects.
She was awarded the City of Zagreb Award (2021) for participating in the project History of the Croatian Language
