Course Plan and Content:

1. Attend classes, at least 70%.
2. Be active in class: read the required reading and participate in discussions.
3. Write one essay.
REQUIREMENTS FOR COURSE SIGNATURE
Attendance of at least 70% of classes.
Submission of the first essay by the agreed deadline.
Grade
Class attendance: 20 points
Class activity: 50 points
Essay: 30 points
Final Grade
(when all percentages of attendance, activity, and essays are added together)
0 to 50% insufficient (1)
51 to 70% sufficient (2)
71 to 80% good (3)
81 to 90% very good (4)
91 to 100% excellent (5)
Students are required to write an essay.
ESSAY ASSESSMENT
The essay must contain at least 2,000 words.

Each essay is graded on a scale from 1 to 30 points.
From each category, the essay may receive a maximum number of points as indicated.
Literacy (the essay contains no more than 5 spelling and grammatical errors): 2 points
Use of Language (professional language and academic metalanguage are used): 2 points
Theoretical Literature (the list of references includes at least 2 theoretical sources): 2 points
Literary Works (the list of references includes at least 1 literary work): 2 points
Clear and Adequate Understanding of the Topic (the topic is clearly explained in the introduction): 3 points
Demonstration of Knowledge (at least three claims are clearly stated in the essay): 3 points
Substantiation of Knowledge (claims are supported by theoretical literature; if a claim is not supported by theoretical literature, no points are awarded): 3 points
Illustration with Quotations from Literary Works (appropriate excerpts from literary works are quoted for illustration, at least 2 quotations): 4 points
Originality of Approach to the Topic (at least one original idea is presented in the essay): 4 points
Substantiation of Original Ideas (the original idea is supported by the cited literature): 5 points
